Here’s some good news for those who have been enjoying the wet and cool weather so far.
Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) predicts similar wet weather conditions will persist in the second half of November 2021.
For the remainder of November 2021, the monsoon rain band is forecast to remain over the equatorial Southeast Asia region.
Thundery showers can be expected over parts of the island most days during this period, ranging from moderate to heavy rain.
Heavy rain could last into the evening on some of these days. Intense rain could also occur on one or two days.
It is caused by prevailing winds converging around Singapore.
A Sumatra squall may develop when winds from the southwest or west meet over the Strait of Malacca.
A squall moving eastward toward the South China Sea may bring thundery showers and gusty winds to Singapore on a few occasions between predawn and morning, MSS said.
However, November 2021’s second half is not expected to be as wet as the first.
In most parts of Singapore, the rainfall for November 2021 is expected to be above average.
For the remainder of November 2021, temperatures are expected to range between 24°C and 33°C on most days.
Some days, however, when there is less cloud cover, the temperature may reach around 34°C.
