This leaking below grade wall was treated by one of our leak sealing specialists while both he and our client carefully followed the detailed government guidelines of health, hygiene and social distancing practices for risk prevention. This was particularly important because our client is in the vulnerable group regarding COVID-10 and needs to stay clear of any potential risks of contracting the virus.
When Singapore Waterproofing inspected the area, it was identified that water was seeping through the floor to wall joint and the back and side walls of the garage.
Reverse side remedial waterproofing was completed to the back and side walls by intersecting the wall to floor joint and injecting hydrophilic polyurethane under high pressure. The polyurethane reacts with any water present in the joint and binds with the surrounding concrete creating a flexible and watertight seal.
After allowing the PU to react, the injection ports were removed and the injection sites plugged. Some holes and gaps in the mortar lines were filled followed by installing a water-borne epoxy reverse side waterproofing system to the walls.
